DIY Shoulder Chain

DIY Shoulder Chain
This shoulder chain is the perfect way to add a lil something to a plain top. I can’t wait to wear it with sundresses and tanks but for now the weather is keeping me in sweaters.
DIY Shoulder Chain Supplies
To make it you will need:

  • Chain
  • Jump rings
  • Clasp
  • Wire cutters
  • Pliers to open and close the jump rings

Measure the chain along the front of your chest along your neck line and cut the chain, then cut a piece the same length for the back. Cut the back piece in half so that you can install a clasp.
Next, measure from the back of your shoulder to the front and cut four pieces of chain that length.
Then, connect everything together with jump rings.
Next, put it on and arrange it around your shoulders. Measure how much chain you need to connect each corner under your underarm. Cut two pieces of chain that length. Then use the jump rings to connect it all together.
You can personalize this piece even more by adding fringe, or chain lengthwise across the shoulders. As long as you stick with thicker chain, it won’t end up a tangly mess.
