Tomorrow I’m heading South to Kanab and Zion’s National Park. It’s technically a work trip. I’m driving down with two of my co-workers (meeting the rest there) so I need to pack a lighter than normal. I also need to have clothing for a variety of activities from hiking Zions, to meeting with the higher-up to volunteering with the cats at Best Friends Sanctuary to yoga to parties. It’s got to work. Meet the mix.
[Left to right] Vintage Lace Shift Dress, Madewell Denim Slouch Shorts In Saddle Rider Wash, Madewell Perfect Chambray Ex-Boyfriend Shirt In Ferrous Wash (BF asked if I’m going to wear the two together, I said “No, wait, maybe, actually most likely yes.”), Seashell Eyelet Shorts (they are knit and SO comfortable, I have them in white too but I’m expecting a certain visitor that will ensure I stick to the orange), Zoya nail polish in Wednesday, Rainbow Stud Wrap Bracelets, Matt and Nat Craft Brown Avoir Belt (it’ll turn that shift dress into a waist defining dress or my chambray top into a light belted denim jacket in the evenings), Mona Mia Trinadad Mint Heel, Matt and Nat River Pebble Satchel (mine is actually an older model, this one is better), Bauble bar Mint Necklace, cheap-o cream sunglasses, Sorel Picnic Plimsole, orange backpack (the one pictures is Nike but mine is actually Skullcandy, I just can’t find an image ANYWHERE online.)
Keeping the color palette simple (navy, light denim and off-white with accents of orange and mint, that’s simple right?) makes it easy to mix and match pieces for lots of different outfit possibilities.
So there is my packing plan, wish me luck in sticking to it and not throwing in 800 extra T-shirts.
